Downloads, Git and Greenscreen

Hello everyone,

Quick update, Elements is over 2000 downloads now. Impressive.

So I changed my mind on the whole "git" thing. After an epic argument involving almost every CF dev versus me, I relented and decided it was alright to host it on there. So there it is, and it's a pain in the ass, but whatever. I decided that this website will be used to host the Elements that works on the most recent Ubuntu, along with an install script, but that the version on git will work with the latest git-release Compiz Fusion. That has seemed to work so far. So for 0.7.4/0.7.5, come here, and for 0.7.6/0.7.7, head over to git on the CF site. Don't worry, not much has actually changed.

The transparency plugin I've been working on has a name now, it's called "Greenscreen", and it's going well. Work has been slow since I've been busy with a life, a particularly bad case of mosquito bites (98 in 30 minutes. Fun), and a stomach flu. Head over to my facebook fan page or YouTube (if you don't mind Viacom getting all your information) if you want to see its current functionality.

Oh yeah, and there's some new textures in the downloads section. The file is almost twice the size. The mosquitoes, despite my unfortunate incident, look really good. the wings kind of flap. ish.

That's all for now,

Pat.
